Hivos is seeking a Strategic Media Partner to support the narrative development, visual identity, positioning, visibility and documentation of Saberes del Futuro: Ideas Sazonadas – Youth Transforming Food Systems, a national event convened under the Urban Futures program. The selected partner will contribute to the development of the event’s communication and branding strategy, media engagement, participatory formats, content production and the public amplification of youth-led solutions for more sustainable, inclusive and climate-resilient food systems.

About Urban Futures

Urban Futures (2023–2027) is a global program operating at the intersection of urban food systems, youth well-being, and climate action. Funded by Fondation Botnar and managed by Hivos together with Humanis, local partners, networks, and experts, the program works to strengthen inclusive, climate-resilient, and youth-centered urban food systems across ten intermediary cities in Colombia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Urban Futures supports young people and local stakeholders in building more inclusive and climate-resilient urban food systems where youth can collaborate, voice their priorities, influence decision-making, and seize opportunities within the food sector. The program advances this vision through multi-stakeholder partnerships, locally driven innovations, and four interconnected pathways of change: inclusive food governance; youth-driven narratives that influence behaviors and consumption patterns; climate-resilient and sustainable food practices; and access to financing and economic opportunities for young people and women.

In Latin America, Urban Futures is implemented in Cali and Medellín, Colombia, and in the Quito–Chocó Andino and MANPANOR territories of Ecuador, with regional coordination led by Hivos Ecuador. As part of this regional strategy and its commitment to positioning young people as key agents of food systems transformation, Hivos will convene Saberes del Futuro: Ideas Sazonadas – Youth Transforming Food Systems, a national gathering that will bring together young leaders, local governments, academia, civil society organizations, media, private sector actors, and development partners to showcase youth-led initiatives, foster new narratives around food and sustainability, and strengthen collaboration toward more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems.
