With support from Hivos and funding from the Dutch MFA as well as the collaboration of the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW), UN women published a study on Fiscal Policy, Taxation and Gender Equality in Jordan. The study is a recommendation to the Government of Jordan to support it in overcoming the challenge of reversing the slow growth trend in a context of already high public debt, while simultaneously addressing the structural problem of very low labor force participation and high unemployment. The study relies on a gendered analysis of different factors such as labor market pattern and the impact of the tax reform in Jordan.
