Young Women optimistic about their future leadership pursuits

July 6, 2017

Demotivated and pessimistic groups of young women from Bulawayo and the greater Matabeleland region never anticipated having platforms where they could have open discussions with established leaders. Instead they were used to hearing words which made them feel like second-rate citizens.

However, the Women’s Institute for Leadership Development Trust’s (WILD)  Mentorship Program has changed young women’s perspectives on leadership. Young women now believe they stand a chance of being successful public leaders as shown by their feedback during a two day Mentorship Program which was conducted from Thursday 29 June to Friday 30 June 2017.
