Godfrey Mwapembwa, also known as Gado, is a cartoonist most known for challenging the political elite in East Africa and, by extension, the world. He encourages younger artists to not be afraid to use their content to provoke debate and question authority by speaking truth to power.

In their Letters to Creatives, they talk about the importance of creative editorial independence and being self-sufficient, and discuss how to reach wider audiences.
