Godfrey Mwapembwa, also known as Gado, is a cartoonist most known for challenging the political elite in East Africa and, by extension, the world. He encourages younger artists to not be afraid to use their content to provoke debate and question authority by speaking truth to power.
Mentoring younger creatives
Gado is one of 21 experienced critical creatives from Southern, East and Northern Africa that Hivos’ R.O.O.M. program worked with to mentor younger creatives.
