The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands is working to improve the position of women and girls in developing countries through its Funding Leadership and Opportunities for Women (FLOW) programme. FLOW funds programs in low- and lower-middle income countries; 93 million EUR for the period 2016-2020. Programs are aiming at combatting violence against women, participation by women in politics and public administration and women’s economic participation and self-reliance.
