This year, besides our exhibition space, Hivos is privileged to be part of Youth Force, a global platform for young people to take part in the AIDS conference. Youth Force is a collective of youth-led and youth-serving organizations that strive to create safe spaces for young people, as well as organize joint advocacy activities.

July 28: Youth Pre-Conference – Youth leadership and strategic advocacy in the context of HIV and AIDS and a young activists guide to navigating AIDS 2022
Time: 2 – 5.30 PM

About: Youth leadership is a central element of equitable and transformative HIV and AIDS response. Young people’s needs, priorities, and knowledge is often overlooked when it comes to HIV and AIDS policy, undermining their agency and the effectiveness of programmatic solutions. In preparation for the AIDS 2022 conference, the goal of this panel is to highlight the critical components of the conference platform, speaking with intergenerational activists on how best to support the amplification of youth and adolescent voices amidst the conference.
