We Speak podcast, episode 2: The power of collective care

Welcome to the second episode of “We Speak,” an informative and empowering podcast series produced by Hivos’ We Lead program. Our mission is to amplify the voices and influence of young women whose sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are often overlooked. Like young women and adolescent girls with HIV, or facing discrimination, living with disabilities, and fleeing conflict.

Over the course of the program we’ve seen how important wellness should be, especially for our rightsholders and implementation teams. That’s because the program often faces the same challenges as its rightsholders, such as political instability or the violence and conservatism that target women and LGBTIQ+ people.
In this podcast, we focus on wellness and share insights we’ve gained through our efforts to make wellbeing and collective care central to our work. You’ll hear powerful testimonies from feminist leaders, activists, and wellness advocates, who discuss what collective care means in practice and how it has shaped We Lead.

Join us as we Speak Up, Stand Up, and Lead the Way towards a world where young women and girls have the right to make informed decisions about their own bodies and futures.

Enjoy!
