The Government of the Republic of Korea will host the Open Government Partnership Regional Meeting in Seoul, South Korea on November 5-6, 2018. The OGP Asia-Pacific Regional meeting will be a great opportunity to exchange ideas on how to make governments more transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens.

Open contracting is high on the agenda and the Open Up Contracting program will be co-hosting a session. Session Description: Under the regional meeting theme of “Promoting Democracy, Improving Governance, Renewing Trust”, this session will highlight the experiences, challenges, and lessons from the Philippines, Indonesia, and South Korea on how government, civil society, journalists, and the private sector have used open contracting data to address sector-specific problems they have faced. By the end of the session, participants will have concrete ideas on how to apply the lessons they’ve learned to improve citizen and government engagement in their own countries.
