This booklet brings together stories that reflect the everyday realities of young women and rightsholders navigating stigma, disability, displacement, and deeply rooted social norms in Jordan.

Through the VCA program, Hivos has supported 15 projects and 12 civil society organizations in Tunisia focusing on food sovereignty, water justice, climate planning, artivism, and environmental advocacy, ensuring that climate action is locally driven and community centered. In this publication, we look at VCA’s impact and achievements.

Active in the MENA region since 2004, Hivos forges partnerships with individuals, groups and organizations that share our vision of advancing human rights and democracy and creating inclusive societies.

The GreenWorks Program, implemented by an alliance led by Hivos, contributes to climate change mitigation by creating sustainable business and job opportunities for more than 9000 young women and men in the green economy in North Africa. This is the program’s annual report 2023.
